The World Music Awards honors the best-selling recording artists from every continent. The World Music Awards are presented on sales merit and voted by the public on the Internet. There is no jury involved and the Awards truly reflect the most popular artists as they are determined by the actual fans that vote and buy the records. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) provides the organization with the names of the best-selling artists from all major territories. The world’s best-selling recording-artists in each category are determined by a thorough enquiry conducted by the organization, which includes sales figures and record certifications in 2013. Awards for World’s Best Male Artist, Best Female, Best Group, Best Electronic Dance Music Artist, Best Entertainer of the Year, Best Live Act, Best Song, Best Album and Best Video are voted online by the general public.

This year’s award show is to take place May 27 in Monte Carlo and we get to vote on the winners! Sevyn has been nominated in 2 categories. VOTE VOTE VOTE!

Hello everyone, I would like to start something new here on Simply Sevyn called Remember When? This will be our little version of ‘Throwback Thursday’  We hope you enjoy this new segment to the site.

Remember When TG4 released ‘Virginity’? Before Sevyn was known as the Sevyn Streeter, she went by Ambee and joined B2K’s sister group  TG4 (Tom Gurl Four/Tomgirls 4Eva) in 2001.

In 2002 the group released their debut single ‘Virginity’ from the album Time For The New. The song went on to peak at #88 on Billboard’s R&B charts and set the girls up for what looked like a promising future. The album was later shelved followed by the disbandment of the group in 2004.
